Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Material Handler to manage inventory, receive materials, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production. The role emphasizes accurate records, cost-conscious process improvements, and strong collaboration with purchasing and logistics teams.

The position operates on a 1st shift, onsite in Franklin, LA, with a contract-to-hire pathway and a pay range of $20.00–$24.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement options upon conversion.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Experience working in the early stages of a start-up company.
• Confident communicator, problem-solver, adaptable in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate inventory records.
• Track stock levels and reorder materials before they run out.
• Perform inventory counts and fix discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Help manage supplier relationships and pricing.
• Check incoming materials for quality issues, such as aluminum and electronic parts.
• Create inventory reports and maintain documentation.
• Look for ways to improve inventory processes and reduce costs.
• Follow security procedures and protect inventory from loss or damage.
• Work with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Report inventory problems and recommendations to management.
