Job Description

The Kitchen Operations Specialist serves as the main connection between all BOH departments. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic work environment. Reporting to the FP&A Analyst, this role requires a solid foundation of culinary experience.

  • Support the Executive Chef and the culinary team with daily BOH operations
  • Coordinate recipes and ingredients between outlets
  • Maintain recipes in Eataly’s database software
  • Assist chefs with ordering, cost tracking, and urgent Interglobo orders
  • Manage order guides, logs, transfers, and SOPs for BOH outlets
  • Oversee monthly inventories, assist in counting, data entry, and analysis
  • Manage vendor relationships, assess credits/shortages, and resolve issues
  • Process purchase orders and shipments from other stores
  • Act as liaison between inter-store departments and BOH
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
  • Experience with commercial kitchen equipment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen operations
  • Degree from a culinary arts training program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good knife skills and finger dexterity
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
