Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining all inventory processes and resolving inventory discrepancies daily. This includes cycle counting, product consolidation, labeling/item identification, reviewing shipping errors, and other tasks related to maintaining the integrity of customer products. The role involves utilizing order management systems and various material-handling equipment.

Cherry Picker Experience Required. Reach Truck Experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to the prescribed cycle count schedule.
• Perform emergency cycle counts as requested.
• Complete reports and records promptly.
• Maintain systematic locations to match physical inventory.
• Review shipping errors to verify inventory counts support the claims.
• Consolidate products to optimize storage space.
• Assist in developing min/max storage capacities for replenishment.
• Relocate inventory to optimize space and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Distribution Center Manager.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a warehouse environment, which may lack climate control.
• Use of computers and other tools for administrative tasks.
• Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
