Inventory Control Specialist 1 (Assembly)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory accuracy within Assembly, ensuring demand signals are correctly passed to planning and purchasing.
  • Work within designated areas to maximize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on component changeovers related to NPI and EOL projects.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct cycle counts and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Handle routine material transactions, including transfers, scrap, and adjustments.
  • Assist with Kanban system maintenance and support during end-of-life and NPI stages.
  • Support quality processes by isolating defective materials.
  • Support inventory transactions related to QDR processes.
  • Receive and deliver packaging materials, maintaining visibility of material flow.
  • Support chemical and supply refills as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:

    • At least three years of relevant material handling or assembly experience.
    • Knowledge of materials handling systems and flow within Leupold & Stevens.
    • Strong math skills, including familiarity with alphanumeric sequences.
    • Experience with FIFO practices and audits.
    • Proficiency with various handling equipment and ability to support transfer activities.
    • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ability to work independently and support team leadership.
    • Proficiency with company software, office tools, and warehouse equipment; basic Excel skills.
    • Good attendance, punctuality, and work ethic.

    Physical Demands:

    Work environment includes exposure to noise and chemicals. Must use PPE, and be able to stand or sit for long periods, with manual dexterity and visual acuity. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds with assistance.
