Job summary

Safeway is seeking a warehouse/receiving associate to manage deliveries, verify orders, and maintain inventory integrity. You will break down loads, transport products to storage or sales areas, and ensure accurate invoicing and cost records.

The role requires attention to detail, safety, and team collaboration. Responsibilities include daily email reviews, preventing shrink, and operating equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and log into computer system.
• Break down loads from suppliers and move products to storage or sales areas.
• Verify orders against invoices to ensure cost, quality and inventory accuracy.
• Reconcile vendor invoices in the system and input item-level differences.
• Maintain filling system and reports; review proper orders from outside sales reps.
• Operate equipment (hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, etc.) and use safety cutters.
• Perform duties such as stocking, pricing, rotating dairy/frozen items when needed.
