The Warehouse Receiving Associate is responsible for managing the intake of goods
and materials into the warehouse. This includes unloading shipments, verifying
accuracy, inspecting for damage, updating inventory systems, and organizing stock. The
role is essential to maintaining efficient warehouse operations and accurate inventory
records.
Unload incoming shipments from trucks or delivery vehicles.
Inspect goods for damage and verify against packing slips or purchase orders.
Record discrepancies and initiate claims for damaged or missing items.
Enter received items into inventory management systems.
Stock shelves and rotate inventory as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock levels and order accuracy
Assist with packaging and labeling outgoing shipments.
Perform cycle counts and support inventory audits.
Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding deliveries and issues.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Assist walk-in customers with order pickups or inquiries.
Provide responsive service and maintain positive relationships.
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year experience in warehouse or receiving roles preferred.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise.
Physical work including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
