Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail/grocery.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and order in backroom and receiving areas.
• Make decisions and resolve issues related to inventory and deliveries independently.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and associates.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 5–50 lbs., push/pull 10–50 lbs., and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Uphold a positive customer experience through accurate inventory and store readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee DSD operations and ensure merchandise is accurately received and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify stock issues.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotions.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non‑perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment.
