Job summary

RJW Logistics Group is seeking an Inventory Control Lead in Illinois to supervise stockroom activities, coordinate cycle counts, and ensure accuracy across inventory records. The role requires forklift and cherry picker experience, plus proficiency with WMS software (Synapse preferred) and MS Office tools.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in inventory control or warehouse settings, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to train and direct a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
• Minimum 1–2 years related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
• Experience using WMS software (Synapse preferred).
• Working knowledge of Inventory Control practices; KPI reporting and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains layout of stockroom, warehouse, and storage areas considering turnover and size of items.
• Studies records and recommends remedial actions for non-usable, slow moving, or excess stock.
• Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with procedures and stock levels.
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
• Prepares composite reports from Inventory Specialists' reports.
• Traces history of items to resolve discrepancies in records.
