Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a store team member to execute and oversee inventory practices across front end and pharmacy, ensuring accurate counts, pricing, and planograms. You will review reports, safeguard assets, and support receiving, returns, and stock transfers.

The role involves greeting customers, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience, and in designated stores, opening/closing duties, including cash handling and POS tasks. Flexibility with schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• “Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Executes, monitors, and trains inventory best practices and SOPs for the store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and returns.
• Reviews and coordinates use of reports and systems affecting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
• Executes and maintains front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and files claims for overages, shortages, and damaged goods including prescription drugs.
• In designated stores, opens and closes the store, handles cash and cashier responsibilities, and ensures readiness for business day.
• Engages customers, greets and assists with products and services, resolves issues to ensure positive experience.
