Job summary

Altek Electronics, Inc. in Torrington, CT, is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to lead daily stock control, audits, and process improvements in a manufacturing environment.

You will supervise staff, drive accuracy, coordinate with procurement and sales, develop policies, analyze data, and ensure compliance with ERP and Lean practices to support cost reduction and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, stock reconciliation, and audit processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control operations to ensure accurate stock management and timely reporting.
• Lead and train inventory control staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies and investigating variances.
• Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and resolve supply chain issues.
• Analyze inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
• Manage inventory control systems and recommend technology upgrades or process changes as needed.
