Job summary

Altek Electronics, Inc. in Torrington, CT, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality department and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing operations.

You will oversee quality engineers, incoming inspection, internal audits, and supplier quality to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This role requires hands-on leadership, deep knowledge of AS9100D and ISO9001, experience with PPAP/FAI, RCCA, and a track record of reducing defects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in quality principles, practices, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Preference for AS9100D and/or ISO13485 background.
• Experience managing a Quality Department.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and maintains all aspects of Quality and manages Quality staff.
• Provides leadership and improves functions and processes.
• Maintains quality requirements while considering safety, costs, and process flow.
• Provides reporting and recommendations to Management.
• Leads quality system improvements and RCCA activities.
• Supports internal and external customers on quality issues.
• Directs Supplier Quality activities and communication with customers.
• Ensures PPAPs, FAI, validation and related tasks meet customer expectations.
