Job summary

Altek Electronics, a Cyient DLM company, seeks a Production Lead in Torrington, CT to organize workflow and ensure timely completion of operator duties. The role emphasizes LEAN manufacturing, takt board management, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Mon-Fri, 12:00pm-8:30pm with a 10% shift differential. You will coach operators, monitor productivity, and maintain a safe, organized work environment while following 6S principles and production schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Production Lead position at Altek Electronics

• Ensure that operators complete job duties on time while maintaining a steady flow of work
• Support and champion CFM and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Facilitate the training of employees per Altek’s training requirements
• Maintain and update the Takt board as necessary
• Review and understand the production/shipping schedule(s)
• Provide guidance and instruction to operators to improve competence
• Schedule, conduct, & document meetings with line operators at least twice per week
• Perform all normal job functions/duties of your area
• Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
• Responsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications and procedures
• Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
• Monitor associates’ productivity and make adjustments as needed to improve throughput
