Job summary

Altek Electronics, a Cyient DLM company, is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor in Torrington, CT. You will oversee daily inventory control operations, lead a team, conduct cycle counts, and implement policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s preferred), at least 3 years in inventory control with supervisory experience, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with ERP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, stock reconciliation, and audit processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control operations to ensure accurate stock management and timely reporting.
• Lead and train inventory control staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies and investigating variances.
• Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and resolve supply chain issues.
• Analyze inventory data and generate reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
• Manage inventory control systems and recommend technology upgrades or process changes as needed.
