Job summary

Safeway in Burke, VA is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring merchandise is received, counted, and stocked accurately. You will walk the store daily to scan items, spot stock issues, and work with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.

Qualifications

• Receiving, tracking and reconciling inventory in retail or grocery contexts.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel; familiarity with store portals.
• Ability to identify damaged, expired or salvageable merchandise and process returns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee DSD operations and ensure accurate receiving and stocking.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify stock issues.
