Job summary

White Cap is hiring an Inventory Control Associate to audit and balance inventory during daily order processing. The role involves resolving discrepancies, maintaining accuracy, and following internal controls.

You will handle vendor shipments, quality checks, and maintain manuals while complying with safety policies. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in inventory control, plus experience with Oracle; forklift knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of inventory control experience.
• Experience with inventory adjustments and cycle counts is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit inventory to keep systems balanced during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve issues, adjustments and discrepancies; ensure internal controls.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; follow up on adjustments and complete cycle counts.
• Receive products from vendors and check for quality; report issues to buyers.
• Maintain quality control and inventory manuals; adhere to safety policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; perform other duties as assigned.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap…

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Previous experience with Inventory Control
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
