Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Receiving Associate in California. You’ll receive, count, and store items, record data in our systems, and help move stock to the correct locations on-site.

This role collaborates with purchasing to monitor shortages, communicates with shipping vendors, and supports accurate order processing. A background in warehousing, forklift experience is preferred, and bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in receiving or warehousing.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Familiarity with construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and stores items.
• Records receiving data using a computer and company software.
• Packs and marks stock items accurately.
• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and notifies supervisor.
• Delivers products to the designated area and communicates with shipping vendors to resolve issues.
• Tracks shortages with purchasing to support timely deliveries.
• Files purchase orders in line with company policy.

A Receiving at White Cap…

• Receives, counts and stores items.

• Records receiving data using a computer and company software.

• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items properly and accurately.

• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and notifies supervisor.

• Communicates with shipping vendors to resolve delivery issues.

• Delivers products, supplies and equipment to the correct designated area.

• Works closely with purchasing to track shortages for late/slow delivery.

• Files purchase orders correctly based on company policy.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a forklift.

• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.

• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.

• Spanish language proficiency.
