White Cap, a leading North American distributor for professional contractors, is hiring a Counter Sales Associate in Signal Hill, CA. You will greet customers, process orders, and provide product information with a focus on service.

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service to walk‑in, phone, and will call customers.
• Processes orders, quotes prices, enters orders into the system, and provides order information to customers. Pulls orders as required.
• Communicates product features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of products and their applications; provides technical advice, troubleshoots, and resolves customer problems.
• Upsells by identifying related products, add‑on extensions, and informing customers of promotions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and building strong customer relationships.
• Experience with sales order entry and inventory management software, preferably Oracle.
• Working knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Experience processing orders and returns accurately.
• Experience stocking and maintaining a showroom.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash, credit card transactions, and invoices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience maintaining inventory accuracy and assisting with cycle counts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction.
