Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist II to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive cath lab. You will scrub, gown, and prepare rooms for procedures, monitor hemodynamics, and ensure equipment readiness.

Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience and current RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certifications within 2 years of hire, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification within 2 years of hire.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac interventions and catheterization with minimal assistance.
• Maintains ECG setup and rhythm monitoring.
• Transports patients and ensures safe room setup for procedures.
• Maintains basic hemodynamic setup and waveform monitoring.
• Ensures safety equipment checks and adequate supplies for procedures.
