Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist II to join the cath lab team. You will scrub for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and assist physicians in left and right heart catheterizations, serving as a procedural- area resource.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI within 2 years, current BLS, and at least 1 year of invasive cardiovascular tech experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Certification: RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI within 2 years.
• BLS certification required (AHA/ARC).
• SC radiation licensure preferred.
• 1 year invasive cardiovascular tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties for cardiac and peripheral procedures with minimal assistance.
• Scrub, gown, glove and set up back table with equipment.
• Record hemodynamics and monitor procedure; document events in MacLab.
• Maintain ECG setup and rhythm monitoring; ensure safety checks.
• Prepare room with staff for safe patient care and transport patients as needed.
