Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to support physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive cath lab setting. The role requires scrub duties, ECG monitoring, and accurate hemodynamic recording with MacLab event logging.

Minimum education is an Associate's Degree with 1 year of invasive cardiovascular technology experience; RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certifications are preferred and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification preferred or within 2 years of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an invasive cardiovascular technology role; telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties and related procedures for cardiac interventions, left heart catheterization and related procedures.
• Maintains ECG setup and rhythm monitoring; ensures accurate documentation in MacLab event log.
• Transports patients and prepares room with staff to ensure safe, effective care.
