Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist II to support physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and vascular disease in invasive procedures. The role covers scrub duties for cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures, setup, monitoring, and documentation using MacLab systems.

The candidate will need a bachelor’s degree, 1 year of invasive cardiovascular technology experience, RCIS/RCES/CEPS/RT(R)CI certification within 2 years, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an invasive cardiovascular technology program, or equivalent education/experience, and RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties and related procedures for cardiac interventions and catheterizations with minimal or no assistance.
• Scrub, gown, glove, and set up the back table with necessary equipment.
• Record interventions and hemodynamics; monitor procedures and document in MacLab event log.
• Maintain ECG setup and rhythm monitoring; assist in room preparation for patient care.
• Ensure safety equipment checks and adequate supplies; transport patients as needed.
