Job summary

UVA Health is seeking an Access Associate Senior to support procedural scheduling for Invasive Cardiology, including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and cardiovascular procedures.

This role handles scheduling, registration, and verifying insurance to ensure patients can navigate admissions smoothly while maintaining data accuracy and delivering a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: External candidates require 3 years’ experience in a clinical setting (hospital, surgery center or ambulatory clinic) in an administrative or clinical role.
• License/Certification: None required; CHAA or CRCR within 18 months for Access Lead positions.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, and verify insurance for procedures in Invasive Cardiology.
• Manage patient entry points into the healthcare system and ensure data accuracy.
• Support efficient navigation of administrative processes and enhance patient experience.
