Job summary

The MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking an experienced registered nurse to plan, deliver, and document patient care in an assigned unit. You will assess and respond to patient needs, collaborate with the care team, and ensure care aligns with established standards and policies.

You will lead nursing staff, maintain accurate records, and uphold MetroHealth's mission and service standards while working a 60-hour biweekly schedule with weekday shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider or within 90 days of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Knowledge of instruments, equipment, and supplies used in nursing services.
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with staff.
• High degree of physical coordination and dexterity.
• PRN and Float staff must have minimum experience per unit.
• All clinical nurses must possess required unit competencies including ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans for, delivers, documents and evaluates nursing care in assigned area per orders and standards.
• Directs activities of assigned nursing personnel in such care.
• Observes, assesses and reports on the condition of patients.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of care reflecting patient's condition, treatment, and response to care.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of MetroHealth System.
