Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking registered nurses to plan, deliver, and document nursing care for patients in assigned units. You will direct nursing staff, monitor patient conditions, and ensure documentation meets policy standards.

Candidates must hold an Ohio RN license, ACLS/PALS/PEARS/NRP certifications, and ideally a BSN with CNOR or PACU/critical care experience. We value supervisory and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with staff and medical team.
• High degree of physical coordination and finger-hand dexterity.
• PRN and Float Staff must have minimum one year experience in the clinical unit.
• All nurses must acquire unit-specific competencies (AHA ACLS, PALS, PEARS) within defined time frame.
• NRP certification is required.
• Preferred BSN and certification.
• OR experience with CNOR certification preferred.
• PACU or critical care experience.
• Psychiatry experience preferred.
• Radiology critical care experience preferred.
• PALS certification recommended.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab experience preferred.
• Experience with smoking cessation and wellness programs beneficial.
• TB clinic or TB experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Prior supervisory or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, document, and evaluate nursing care for patients in an assigned area.
• Direct activities of assigned nursing personnel in care provided.
• Observe, assess, and report patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and patient responses to treatment.
