Job summary

Jefferson Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support the operating room team in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The role focuses on preparing and maintaining the sterile field, ensuring instrument readiness, and supporting OR efficiency through proper inventory management.

The technician will assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN direction, maintain physician preference cards, and help ensure compliance with infection control

Qualifications

• 0-2 years operating room surgical technician experience required.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred or required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the OR with instruments, equipment and supplies per procedure and physician preference card.
• Maintains a sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments efficiently during surgery.
• Handles instruments and equipment per policy, including inspection and sterilization.
