Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Associate Director Registered Nurse Intraop to lead nursing teams in the OR. You will oversee staff development, change management, and departmental efficiency, partnering with physicians and leaders to advance care quality.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with varied hours and possible leadership call. Prior OR inpatient/outpatient leadership experience is preferred to drive standardized practices and patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires.
• Requires a current RN license in state of practice.
• Requires BLS certification.
• Two years of clinical management experience relevant to patient population.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and developmental disabilities in LTC settings.

Responsibilities

• Manages and facilitates patient centered nursing care for designated patient populations.
• Leads change by developing, implementing and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Facilitates communication of system, regional, facility and department initiatives.
• Manages and develops the operational and capital budgets and use of resources.
• Develops staff leadership through shared leadership models and supports career advancement.
• Oversees selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention.
• Develops leadership of entry level nurse managers and leads clinical improvement initiatives.
