Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role involves assisting physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology studies, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining precise documentation.

You will work under supervision with a strong emphasis on patient care, teamwork, and adherence to protocols while supporting ongoing procedures and on-call shifts as needed. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Certification: Registered in Radiography (ARRT).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA).
• ACLS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician request, monitors for reactions.
• Under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, performs duties.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient identity, diagnosis, and treatment position.
• Documents clinical information per policies.
• Instructs new staff as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and confidentiality.
• Performs all essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
• May perform on-call duties and variable shifts.
