Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform a range of imaging procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the interventional suite, ensuring aseptic technique, patient positioning, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical school certification or 6 months to 1 year related experience/ training
• ARRT Radiography Certification and Registration required
• VI certification within 24 months of hire (or existing VI certification)

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up the interventional suite with instruments and supplies.
• Utilizes aseptic techniques and follows policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling.
• Assists with preparing, positioning, and draping patients and participates in the interventional space to assure correct patient and surgical site.
• Understands, anticipates, and adapts to interventional provider preference and patient care variables.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image distribution.
• Maintains adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations and participates in inventory control and monitoring.
• Implements radiation protection and patient safety standards.
