Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with scope and practice standards. The role involves assisting in the interventional suite, maintaining aseptic technique, and adhering to HIPAA and safety policies.

The ideal candidate has an ARRT radiography certification with VI certification planned within 24 months of hire and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or relevant technical certification required.
• ARRT radiography certification required.
• VI certification within 24 months of hire; maintain active certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up the interventional suite with instruments and supplies.
• Uses aseptic techniques and standard precautions.
• Follows policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling.
• Assists with preparing, positioning, and draping patients; ensures correct site.
• Adapts to interventional provider preferences and updates materials accordingly.
• Completes required documentation for procedures and billing.
• Maintains supplies and participates in inventory control.
• Implements radiation protection and patient safety standards.
