Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Decatur, GA seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician to assist physicians during procedures, prepare the patient and room, and ensure sterile technique.

The ideal candidate has ARRT certification or state licensure, a high school diploma with higher degrees preferred, and 4–6 years of related experience. Proficiency with C-Arm and ultrasound equipment and strong inventory and safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; higher degrees preferred.
• ARRT certification or state licensure per state regulations.
• Interventional radiology certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Reviews orders and stock needed materials for each procedure.
• Sets up and stocks the room and trays with supplies prior to procedures and cleans after.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses questions or concerns.
• Positions and preps patient for procedures and assists with transfers.
• Acts as scrub assistant during interventional procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Inputs data into imaging systems and ensures accurate medical records.
• Maintains radiation safety, inventory control, and equipment condition.
• Assists in training new staff and participates in CQI activities.
