Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Decatur, GA seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support physicians during procedures and manage radiology equipment. This role requires ARRT certification, a High School diploma (Associates/Bachelor preferred), 4–6 years’ related experience, and strong sterile technique.

You’ll monitor inventory, ensure patient safety, and maintain documentation in compliance with HIPAA and CQI goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable; and Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations) Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
• 4–6 years’ related experience desirable. 1 year experience preferred for ARRT candidates.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound).
• Experience with maintaining materials/supplies for procedures and sterile techniques.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and CQI practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient prep and procedure room setup in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Sets up stocks procedure rooms and trays with required supplies and interventional equipment.
• Provides scrub assistance and administers fluoroscopy during procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Transports patients and monitors radiation safety and image documentation.
• Assists in training new staff and ensures accurate billing with CPT/ICD codes.
• Participates in CQI meetings and facility quality goals.
