Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Allegheny Health Network to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level with independent judgment, while ensuring patient safety and image quality. Responsibilities include positioning patients, processing results, reviewing orders, preparing contrast when needed, and ensuring equipment safety standards.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience.
ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire.
CPR certification (American Heart Association).
Background clearances as required by state law.

Responsibilities

Position patient and perform imaging procedures with independent judgment; ensure image quality and report results.
Review patient history and orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
Prepare and administer contrast media when ordered; monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
Prepare equipment; select exposure factors; ensure safety standards and QC procedures; troubleshoot malfunctions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
