Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures with independent judgment. You will position patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure high-quality results.

The role requires ARRT certification within 6 months, CPR certification, and successful completion of background clearances. Prior radiology experience is preferred and the position emphasizes safety and patient education throughout examinations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR six months to one-year related experience and/or training; OR equivalent education and experience.
• ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34/Act 33/Act 73 FBI background clearance certificates.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures and analyzes results.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media when ordered; monitors patient condition.
• Selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety standards and QC on equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
