Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support the Interventional Radiology, vascular hybrid, and neuro-interventional services. The role requires performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, patient positioning, and adherence to sterile technique under supervision of department leadership.

Candidates should have ARRT and BLS certifications, with experience in IR procedures, radiation safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Competency in IR, vascular and neuro interventional procedures.
• Knowledge of patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Must understand anatomy and radiographic principles.
• Ability to work in IR, vascular and neuro settings and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional IR procedures with independent judgment.
• Prepare patient and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage supplies.
• Enter CPT codes and document procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with radiologists, vascular surgeons and cardiologists.
• Assist in on-call coverage and flexible scheduling.
• Maintain departmental records and regulatory compliance.
