Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Interventional Special Procedures Technologist to support radiology, vascular surgery, and neuro interventions. Responsibilities include scrub duties, imaging in IR, cath lab, and hybrid rooms, and ensuring quality control across interventional disciplines.

Qualifications include ARRT, CA fluoroscopy permit, CRT, BLS, and venipuncture certification. The role requires 1 year of radiologic technologist experience in interventional settings and on-call weekend

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.
• 1 Year experience as a radiologic technologist in interventional radiology, vascular interventional surgery, cardiovascular radiology, or fluoroscopy procedures.
• ARRT Certificate - ARRT -REQUIRED
• Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• Venipuncture Certification - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Documentation Management: Verify patient information, begin and end exams, record details in RIS, code exams, and manage supplies.
• Patient and Family Education: Provide pre and post procedure education and reassurance; address age, culture, and confidentiality.
• Produce High Quality Exams: Apply imaging techniques, position per protocols, label studies accurately, and use contrast per protocol.
• Special Procedures: Assist with CTA/MRA planning, hybrid OR setup, and use of specialized devices.
• Quality Assurance: Verify patient identity, maintain sterile technique, and monitor safety precautions.
• Clinical Competency: Complete required competencies and training for special procedures.
