Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform imaging, post-processing, and emergency services on call. You will work in a fast-paced cardiovascular lab, maintaining sterile technique and supporting physicians during procedures.

Requirements include a medical imaging/program graduate, WV radiography license, ARRT certification (or within required timeframe) and BLS; one year IR tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided.
• WV: Radiography License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
• National certification required.
• ARRT certification within six months of graduation (WV) or upon hire (MD/OH) or as defined by licensing location.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets hemodynamic monitoring.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares entry site with sterile technique.
• Documents procedures accurately for the patient record and billing.
• Participates in on-call rotation and 24-hour emergent procedures.
• Instructs radiography students in clinical settings and assists in education.
