Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Interventional Special Procedures Technologist to support the IR and vascular hybrid environment. You will prepare equipment, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists and surgeons to deliver high-quality diagnostic studies.

The role requires independent performance after orientation, sterile technique, and strong communication skills in English. Flexible hours and On-Call availability are involved in the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Radiologic Technology program completed.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures in IR or vascular hybrid setting.
• Active ARRT-R Radiography certification and BLS certification required on hire.
• Ability to work independently after orientation and participate in on-call rotations.
• Must communicate effectively in English and follow sterile techniques and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and position patient for procedures.
• Provide age-appropriate care and ensure patient safety during exams.
• Work with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists.
• Maintain records, supplies, and licensing credentials.
• Assist with departmental communications and on-call duties.
