Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an Interventional Special Procedures Technologist to support IR and vascular hybrid procedures. You will prepare patients, assist radiologists, and ensure safe, accurate imaging while maintaining sterile technique and compliance with regulations.

The role requires 1 year of IR or vascular hybrid experience, proficiency in anatomy, and strong English communication. On-site daytime shifts with on-call duties support quality patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures (IR or vascular hybrid).
• Competency in interventional/vascular procedures and patient positioning.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and pathology and English language.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of interventional and diagnostic procedures with independent judgment.
• Set up equipment and position patients for IR and vascular hybrid procedures.
• Demonstrate sterile technique and maintain safety standards.
• Prepare supplies and equipment; enter charges for supplies and procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists.
• Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and safety during procedures.
• Maintain records, comply with Joint Commission and state/federal requirements.
• Remain flexible for on-call hours and department needs.
