The Interventional Radiology (IR) Department at OU Medical Center provides advanced, minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using image‑guided techniques. Our highly specialized team of board‑certified interventional radiologists, nurses, and technologists delivers patient‑centered care across a wide spectrum of conditions, including neuro and vascular disease, oncology, trauma, and complex organ disorders.

The Interventional Technologist I assists Physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures to diagnose, monitor and treat simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases without surgery. This position is intended for those who are gaining experience in Interventional Radiology or Invasive Cardiology or are experienced Imaging professionals who wish to begin a career in the discipline.
Education: A graduate of post‑secondary educational program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT) as defined by ARRT or CCI.
Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
Experience: No experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
ARRT(RT), RCES or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire.
Education: Associate's Degree required.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in interventional radiography or invasive cardiology required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
One of the following certifications required at hire: ARRT(RT)(VI), ARRT(RT)(CI), RCES issued by CCI or RCIS issued by CCI.
Education: Associate's Degree required.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in interventional radiography or invasive cardiology required.
