Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to support the Heart & Vascular Institute in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures. This role includes sign-on bonus eligibility and requires ARRT registration and licensure, ACLS within 1 year, and the ability to work under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT registration in Radiography (R).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography per IEMA.
• ACLS certification within 1 year (American Heart Association).
• Ability to work under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Capacity to work in invasive cardiology/radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician request and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
• Under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, performs functions and duties.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient and chart identification, diagnosis and treatment position.
• Documents clinically relevant information per policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
• On-call duties and variable shifts as assigned.
