Stony Brook University in New York seeks a Medical Radiographer for Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures to perform radiologic procedures at a technical level with independence.

The role includes administering ionizing radiation, assisting physicians, QA, protection/ALARA, teaching radiology students, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Must hold NY DOH license, ARRT certification, and BLS.

Qualificações

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Radiology Program.
• New York State DOH License in Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT Certified.
• BLS Certification.

Responsabilidades

• Perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and acquire/analyze data for diagnosis.
• Provide immobilization devices and positioning to obtain diagnostic radiographs.
• Select proper technical factors on an individual patient basis and operate equipment as directed.
• Apply prescribed safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Assist physicians during cases by scrubbing in as 1st Assistant and providing equipment and supplies.
• Process exams and perform QA on images; ensure delivery to PACS/dictation systems.
• Maintain patient information accuracy and regulatory compliance.
