Stony Brook Medicine seeks a Medical Radiographer III to perform radiological procedures at a professional level with minimal supervision. The role requires independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and to assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures.

Formación

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Radiology Program.
• New York State DOH License in Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT Certified and BLS Certification.
• Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with ALARA compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with appropriate factors and equipment.
• Provide immobilization devices and patient positioning as required.
• Assist physician and scrub in as 1st Assistant; provide equipment and supplies.
• Process exams and perform QA to images and dictation delivery.
• Maintain adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Submit to on-call/recall responsibilities and shift coverage.
