Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a TH Medical Radiographer to provide clinical radiology services with a focus on patient care and clear communication. The role includes operating radiographic equipment, maintaining safety standards, and supporting education of radiology students and staff.

Candidates must hold NYS DOH Radiology Certification with ARRT Breast Certification and BLS, and be a graduate of a Radiology Diagnostic Program. A detailed benefits package is offered.

Qualificações

• Required: NYS DOH Radiology Certification and ARRT Breast Certification.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of a Radiology Diagnostic Program.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Produce diagnostic exams and position/transfer patients; select technical factors and operate equipment.
• Ensure protection per safety standards and assist with contrast administration; may supervise areas.
• Possible acting supervisor duties in absence of supervisor or senior technologist.
• Assist with first aid, maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• May conduct quality control tests and participate in required specialty research.
• Teach radiology students or hospital personnel; convey procedures and equipment operation.
