Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a TH Medical Radiographer III to provide high-quality MRI imaging and patient care in a per diem capacity at the Stony Brook campus.

The role requires graduation from a Diagnostic Radiology Technology program, NYS license with IV contrast, ARRT-MRI certification, and current BLS. The candidate will operate equipment, ensure safety, and may mentor students within the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Diagnostic Radiology Technology program.
• NYS DOH Licensed in Diagnostic Radiology Technology with IV Contrast Injection certification.
• ARRT-MRI Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic exams and positions patients with proper immobilization devices.
• Selects and operates equipment and applies appropriate technical factors for each patient.
• Adheres to safety standards and assists with administering contrast media when required.
• May serve as acting supervisor in supervisor or senior technologist absence.
• Performs quality control tests and may participate in required research.
• May teach radiology students or hospital personnel according to department objectives.
