Job summary

Active Path Mental Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to serve as a Mental Health Technician supporting interventional psychiatry services, including esketamine and TMS. The role emphasizes safe administration, REMS compliance, and compassionate patient care.

You will coordinate medications, authorizations, and scheduling while supporting clinic operations across locations. Travel between clinics is required as needed, with mileage reimbursement available.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required or obtainable before start date.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Tebra or similar) is essential.
• Experience charting treatment notes accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with medication prior authorizations and pharmacy coordination is preferred.
• Professional, clinical demeanor; scrubs required.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Clear, compassionate patient communication is essential.
• Behavioral health experience and depression/anxiety support is preferred.
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Esketamine administration under provider supervision and REMS compliance; document daily notes in EMR/EHR; manage inventory and disposal of controlled substances.
• Process and track prior authorizations; schedule appointments; facilitate communication among providers, pharmacies, patients and referring providers.
• Deliver TMS treatments per protocols; set up equipment; ensure accurate coil placement and configuration; monitor patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and collaborate with PCCs to support clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrate accountability, punctuality, and adherence to policies; treat patients and colleagues with kindness and inclusion.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and operations.
