Aster Mental Health is seeking an Interventional Psychiatry Technician to support our private practice in the Boston area. The role involves direct patient care including TMS administration and Spravato monitoring, with emphasis on patient safety and coordination with the treatment team.

Ideal candidates bring medical office experience, basic clinical skills, and strong English communication. The position involves scheduling, paperwork, and patient inquiries in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Completion of a medical assistant program is preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification preferred.
• One year of related psychiatric experience preferred.
• Must fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to interpret basic medical terminology and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor TMS treatments (training provided).
• Monitor Spravato (esketamine) treatment during and after administration.
• Finalize patient paperwork with insurance (Prior Authorizations).
• Handle scheduling and data entry for treatments and authorizations.
• Perform basic clinical tasks (vital signs) with patients.
• Respond to patient inquiries related to interventional psychiatry.
• Build relationships with patients during treatment sessions.
• Coordinate patient care with the in-house team.
• Support marketing outreach to referral sources in the local community.
