Job summary

Apogee Behavioral Medicine is seeking an In-Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA, CNA, or EMT) to provide clinical support within the clinic. You will administer TMS, assist in injection clinics, manage Spravato and Ketamine treatments, and handle prior authorization for interventional psychiatric services.

You will also support virtual medical assistants with patient communications and related clinical tasks, collaborating closely with the Provider Support Manager to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Clinical support services and patient care experience.
• Comfortable delivering remote support.
• Willingness to engage in diverse clinical tasks.
• Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Ability to evaluate workflows and suggest improvements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to changing priorities and multitask.

Responsibilities

• TMS Administration: Safely operate TMS equipment, delivering treatments as prescribed and monitoring patient response.
• Spravato & Ketamine Management: Oversee administration and patient monitoring during Spravato (esketamine) and Ketamine treatments.
• Authorization Management: Handle prior authorization requirements for interventional psychiatric services.
• In-Office Psychiatric Services: Administer in-office psychiatric interventions, maintaining compliance and quality patient care.
• EHR Management: Respond timely to patient messages, medication refills, and prescription requests within the EHR system.
• Pharmacy Communications: Coordinate effectively with pharmacies for medication inquiries and requests.
• Clinical Documentation: Manage clinical requests via fax and ensure thorough documentation.
• Patient Calls: Professionally handle patient phone inquiries, providing high-quality support.
• Lab Requests: Assist with monitoring and managing lab requests within clinical support operations.
