Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH seeks a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.

You will prepare medications, document radiation exposure, and adhere to hospital policies; ARRT/CCI certification and BLS are required, ACLS preferred. The role requires teamwork within the vascular lab and radiology departments.

Qualifications

• Radiology technologist with 1 year experience in radiology; surgical CR experience preferred.
• Certification/registration with ARRT or CCI is required
• BLS required (preferred upon hire)
• State licensure preferred
• ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs fluoroscopic and interventional vascular lab procedures with sterile technique.
• Prepares patients and explains procedures to minimize anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Documents medications and radiation exposure in accordance with laws and policies.
• Uses EMR to review patient info, enter preliminary reporting and document critical findings.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
