ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for A+ in Columbus, Ohio, to support students with IEPs in a rigorous, nurturing setting. The role emphasizes collaborative planning with teachers and implementing behavior plans within a full inclusion/Co-Teaching framework.

Ideal candidates hold a state teaching license, have experience in inclusive classrooms, and can communicate effectively with families, teachers, and students.

Qualifications

• Current state license.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities, assisting in intervention strategies and adapting curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and progress.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities such as events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
