ACCEL Schools LLC seeks Intervention Specialists for Cleveland Primary Sports Academy in Cleveland, Ohio to support students with IEPs and behavioral goals. You will help create a rigorous, nurturing environment that emphasizes academic achievement and social-emotional growth.

The role involves collaborating with teachers, conducting assessments, writing behavior plans, and leading IEP meetings while fostering inclusive practices and strong family communication.

Competenze

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full room inclusion model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observations and progress monitoring.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities, modify general education curricula, and assist with regular class assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet goals related to student achievement and culture and state targets.
• Use research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
